Drents-Friese Wold

The Drents-Friese Wold is a large nature park in the Netherlands. It has an area of 6,000 hectares, which is about the size of 8,600 football fields.


It is located on the border of Southwest Drenthe and Southeast Friesland. In addition, it is also the largest contiguous forest area in the Netherlands after the Veluwe.The Drents-Friese Wold is also known for its dunes, which are called the Kale dunes.
